Mainstage not playing on other midi channels

Hey,

I'm using a novation impulse 61 as a controller with Mainstage and want to play keyboard sounds with the keys and trigger drums/ play latched pads with the pads. I would like the sounds to be separate. I reconfigured the pads such that they send note signal via midi channel 10 and the keys are the default channel 1. Mainstage receives the midi information correctly as displayed when I press the drum pads. I selected the channel strip I wanted to use for the pads and went to midi input > multitimbral > Novation Impulse > midi channel 10.

Sound plays when I hit they keys but not the drum pads. I'm sure that the drums are sending the correct midi information but nothing happens when I play the drum pads.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong 😟
